Moved to Hawaii at age 2 and began playing golf at Ko Olina GC. Made competitive golf debut at the World Junior Golf Championship at age 6.
Subsequently qualified for the same tournament for 13 consecutive years until age 18, holding the record for most appearances by an Asian player (including runner-up finish in 2011).
Attended Iolani School in Hawaii, participating in golf while also excelling academically, receiving the Top Scholar Award (GPA 4.0+) multiple times during enrollment.
At 15, received a sponsor's invitation to compete in the JGTO's Chunichi Crowns, participating in the Japan Tour 5 times.
Attended Wake Forest University, a prestigious golf program on the US East Coast.
Notable alumni include Arnold Palmer, Curtis Strange, Jay Haas, Bill Haas, and Webb Simpson.
Competed alongside current PGA stars Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young during his time there.
In 2019, became the first Japanese player selected to the Arnold Palmer Cup International Team as a top-ranked college player.
Achieved a career-high NCAA Division 1 ranking of #13 among over 3,000 college golfers.
Maintained academic excellence alongside golf, inspired by his parents' emphasis on balancing athletics and academics, earning 5 awards during his college years.
Later transferred to UCLA and after leaving graduate school, joined Goldman Sachs Japan.
Currently leveraging 25 years of experience in Japan and the US to provide world-class golf experiences.
